Namaan, commander of the army of the king of Syria, was a great man with his master and in high favor, because by him the Lord had given victory to Syria. He was a mighty man of valor, but he was a leper.
2 Kings 5:1
It happens all the time.
Everybody has a but.
It really doesn’t matter how fantastic we might think somebody is. Everyone has flaws, because everyone has sin.
We all know this, don’t we?
If we do, why do we still get offended or hurt when someone shows who they really are? If we know that everybody is just flawed humanity, then why do we feel so let down when they prove it?
I think it’s because we crave a perfection. We desire “spotless”, ” unblemished “, ” pure “.
Well, guess what!!!
We can have that!!
Just not with people.
People will forget you, betray you, lie to you, and so much more. Not always because they are trying to cause you pain….but simply because they are not perfect.
God can’t lie.
He will NEVER forget you.
And He CAN’T betray His own!
His is a perfect love!
Whenever I find myself getting hurt or bitter feeli
ngs toward someone, a warning bell goes off somewhere inside of me that tells me I might be holding them up as a god, instead of counting on the perfect love of the One And Only GOD!
Every person you meet has got a ” but”.
When it comes to His love for us, God has NONE!!
And there are no buts about it!:)
